Bill Chaplick Picks Up 100th Victory at Milford Academy

Congratulations to Head Coach Bill Chaplick for earning his 100th victory at Milford Academy.

The Milford Academy Falcons (New Berlin, NY) defeated Lehigh JV 26-21 on Sunday and advanced to 3-0 on the season.  Falcons quarterback Erich Berzinskas (Clinton, CT) connected with B.J. Jones (Woodlyn, NJ) in the end zone as time expired to give Milford the victory.

In the recruiting world, it's like pushing a do-over button.

Quarterback Erich Berzinskas (Clinton, Conn./Milford Academy) wasn't happy with his playing opportunities following his senior year at The Morgan School, so he decided to restart the recruiting process by spending a post-graduate year -- or at least a semester -- at Milford Academy, a prep school in New York known for placing players at the Division I level.

"Going into my senior year I had a lot of looks -- BC, UConn, Temple, New Hampshire -- but I was playing for my third coach in four years," Berzinskas said. "It was a new system, we were young and there weren't a lot of highlights.

Campers will receive intensive hands-on instruction from Coach Bill Chaplick's staff and premier college coaches from around the region. Campers will learn the skills and fundamentals necessary for a solid football foundation on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball as well as special teams. Our goal is to make every camper that attends a more knowledgeable, confident and successful football player when he leaves. This is a non-contact camp.
